Word Meaning
Take Away The movement in the swing when the club is taken back from the ball.
Tee, teeing ground The area of wich the first shot of each hole is played.
Tempo The rhythm of a controlled swing.
Texas scramble A team competition in which you can always choose the best shot and every player of that team can play his next shot from that position.
Texas Wedge(U.S.A) An alternative name for a putter when a shot is played from off the green.
Three off the tee If your tee shot is lost or OB, you receive one penalty stroke and play another ball which is counted as your third shot.
Threesome Three ball competition in which one player competes against 2 others.
Through the green The whole area of the course except the tee boxes, the green, all hazards and OB.
Throughswing The last sequence of the swing after impact.
Tie A match which has ended level.
Tiger Tees Competition tees which stretch a course to its utmost limit.
Timing The act of striking a ball in which the hands, arms and body co-ordinate perfectly.
Toe The nose of a clubhead.
Topped Striking the ball above its equator.
Trajectory The flight path of the ball through the air.
Trap(U.S.A.) Shallow bunker usually large and flat.
Trolley A folding metal frame with wheels which transports a bag of clubs during the round.
